Abstract:With the changes in the international situation, enhancing energy security has become an urgent need for all countries, and green finance provides inspiration for achieving this goal. This article adopts provincial panel data. From the perspective of environmental regulations,by constructing PSTR,it empirically studies the connection between energy security and green finance. The research results show that when the environmental regulation is lower than the threshold value of 0.1565,green finance does not show a promoting effect on energy security. However, when the environmental regulation crosses the threshold value, the impact of green finance on energy security turns into a positive one.The impact of green finance on energy security shows a U-shaped transformation between[-0.072 8,0.319 8].Secondly,robustness tests are conducted by replacing variables and changing the sample size to ensure the reliability of the research results. In addition, through the Panel Vector Autoregression Model(PVAR),it is found that China's energy security has been affected by its own past in the long term.In the long term, after environmental regulations cross the inflection point, the higher they are,the more conducive it is for green finance to enhance the level of energy security. In conclusion, the long-term development of green finance will contribute to the improvement of China's energy security level. These findings are aimed at providing insights for policymakers to enhance energy security from the perspective of green finance.
