Abstract:Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2003 to 2020,this paper uses the fixed-effect model and the spatial Durbin model to reveal the spatiotemporal correlation and spatial effect between energy consumption and residents' health. The results show that:① In terms of spatial pattern, the eastern part continues to be the core area of high energy consumption, the area with a high incidence of cardiovascular diseases is expanding, and the mortality rate of respiratory diseases has decreased significantly in the past two decades;② Energy consumption significantly increases the cause of death of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, and has a negative spatial spillover effect on the surrounding areas;③ The use of clean energy presents a gradient effect:energy consumption in areas with a high proportion of energy directly affects cardiovascular diseases;④ The income dimension shows that there is significant heterogeneity in the impact of energy consumption on health, and in low-income areas, energy consumption significantly increases the direct and total effects of respiratory disease cause of death.
