Abstract:Under the background of the coordinated promotion of digital economy and"dual carbon"strategy,it is of great practical significance to explore the impact mechanism of digital economy on total factor energy efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration to solve the problem of regional high-quality development and carbon emission reduction synergy.Based on the panel data of 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2002 to 2019,this paper adopts the entropy value method to construct a comprehensive index of digital economy, applies the SBM model including super-efficiency to measure the total factor energy efficiency, and systematically tests its action path through the two-way fixed effect model and the mediating effect model. The results show that digital economy can significantly improve total factor energy efficiency and has robustness;regional heterogeneity is significant, and the impact of the digital economy on total factor energy efficiency is more significant after 2006,and the degree of benefit varies among cities with different resource endowments, with natural resource cities benefiting the most;technological innovation and upgrading of industrial structure are the key mechanism factors, with the latter playing a more prominent role.In addition, local digital economy development has positive spillover effects on neighboring regions.Based on this, this paper puts forward some suggestions to strengthen digital infrastructure, improve innovation incentives, optimize industrial structure, and deepen regional coordination.
