Research on the multiple paths of digital ecology to promote industrial transformation and upgrading

Abstract:The transformation and upgrading of industrial structure is a key path to achieve economic transformation and high-quality development.How to promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure is a hot topic for government decision-making departments and academia.Based on the TOE framework,taking 31 provinces in China(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan)as an example,this study uses the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)method to explore the configuration effects of seven digital elements,namely digital infrastructure,technological innovation,digital talent,digital government,digital economy,digital security,and digital society,on the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure.Research has found:① There are three types of solutions to promote industrial structure transformation and upgrading,namely"comprehensive linkage","technology environment linkage",and"environment driven".② There is no single condition that constitutes a high industrial structure index,but technological innovation,digital economy,and digital society play a relatively universal role.The study reveals the diverse paths through which digital ecology affects the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure,providing practical references for optimizing regional ecological environment,better achieving economic transformation,and high-quality development.
