Research on the relationship between technological innovation and carbon emission efficiency of energy enterprises

Abstract：Technological innovation has the dual potential of emission reduction and rate improvement,and is a key means to achieve green and low-carbon transformation of energy enterprises.Select data from A-share listed companies in China's energy industry from 2010 to 2021,use the super efficiency SBM model to calculate the carbon emission efficiency of energy enterprises,and analyze the relationship between enterprise technological innovation and carbon emission efficiency.The results indicate that:① Technological innovation effectively promotes the improvement of carbon emission efficiency in energy enterprises.② Strengthening environmental regulations,optimizing human capital,and reducing energy intensity can enhance the rate of technological innovation.③ With environmental regulations,human capital,and energy intensity crossing threshold values,the promoting effect of technological innovation on carbon emission efficiency has shown a significant leap.④ The impact of technological innovation on carbon emission efficiency exhibits heterogeneity in corporate property rights and scale.
