Abstract：The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of coal resources exploration and development on China's energy security in the new era.By analyzing the significance,current situation,opportunities and challenges of China's coal resources exploration and development in the new era,this paper discusses the important role of coal resources exploration and development in promoting China's social and economic development,ensuring the stability of China's energy supply and promoting the optimization of China's energy structure.Furthermore,some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to strengthen the continuity of resources and environmental protection and improve the supervision system of production safety,so as to provide theoretical basis and policy suggestions for the protection of energy security in our country.
