Research on thecorporate profiling of listed coal companies

Abstract：This paper investigates the corporate portrait and path selection of 42 listed coal companies in China,conducting a thorough analysis of their performance,underlying causes,and future development trajectories in 2023.Leveraging both descriptive statistics and big data text analysis as corporate portrait tools,the paper utilizes the 2023 annual reports of coal listed companies as the data source to extract features related to the companies'geographical distribution,production and operation,capital operation,and market maintenance.Additionally,it presents keyword analysis and sentiment orientation from the annual reports.Based on this information,a capability portrait of the 42 companies is constructed.By constructing these corporate portraits,the paper uncovers the overall characteristics and future trends of the coal industry's development,proposes strategic suggestions for transformation and upgrading,and provides valuable reference for both governments and enterprises.
