Research on the mechanism of digital transformation's impact on the new quality productive forces of heavily polluting enterprises

Abstract：The proposal of new quality productive forces in the era of digital economy pushes the theme of how to achieve high-quality development into hot debate again.Taking 2012-2022 Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed heavily polluting enterprises as the research sample,the effect of digital transformation on the New quality productive forces of heavily polluting enterprises is empirically examined.The findings show that digital transformation further promotes the development of new quality productive forces by alleviating corporate financing constraints and promoting corporate innovation.In addition,the promotion effect of digital transformation on the new quality productive forces of heavily polluting enterprises is also regionally heterogeneous,which is more obvious for enterprises in the central region.The findings of the study can provide practical insights for heavily pollution enterprises to accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces.
