Abstract:Energy is an essential element to promote economic growth, but a large number of carbon emissions seriously damage the ecological environment.Industrial structure upgrading is an important driving force to promote green and low-carbon development. It is of great significance to study the impact of industrial structure upgrading on carbon emission intensity.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2007 to 2007,this paper 2021 a spatial econometric model to empirically study the spatial spillover effect of industrial structure upgrading on carbon emission intensity. The results are as follows:the optimization of industrial structure not only plays a positive role in the reduction of local carbon emission intensity, but also its spatial spillover effect can lead to the reduction of carbon emission intensity in adjacent regions, however, this effect has regional heterogeneity.industrial structure upgrading affects carbon emission intensity through technological progress.
