Abstract:There is a lack of research related to the low-carbon transition path of the coal chemical industry, and the existing research does not take into account a variety of production methods, conventional green technologies and breakthrough green technologies. Therefore, this paper establishes the National Energy Technology Coal Chemical Model(C3 IAM/NET-Coal Chemical)based on the constraints of meeting future product demand and the comprehensive consideration of factors such as policy planning, technological progress and economic feasibility. The model optimizes the low-carbon transition path of the future coal chemical industry with the goal of cost minimization, and analyzes its energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The results show that the simultaneous promotion of conventional green technologies, such as large-scale coal gasification technology and low-pressure methanol synthesis technology, and breakthrough green technologies, such as CCS technology and green hydrogen and CO2 to olefin technology,is the optimal low-carbon transition path for the coal chemical industry.
