The influence of economic development factors on carbon dioxide emissions in western China

Abstract:In this paper,statistical data of relevant economic indicators in western provinces from 2000 to 2020 and Spatial Dubin Model(SDM)are used to demonstrate the spatial effects of economic factors affecting carbon emissions.The results show that:① Moran's index of the spatial correlation of carbon emissions in western China is positive,and the test results are significant;②among the economic development factors in each province and region,the output value of the secondary industry has a promoting effect on carbon emissions;③ the development of secondary industry in neighboring areas also has a spatial effect of promoting carbon emissions in the region.It can be seen that the development of the secondary industry in the western region has a significant promoting impact on carbon dioxide emissions,so as to provide basis and opinions for the development of low-carbon economy in the western region.
