Research on the coupling and coordination relationship between social responsibility performance and financial performance-Taking listed companies in the coal industry as an example

Abstract：After the 20th National Congress,low-carbon green transformation has become the"yardstick"for enterprises to achieve long-term value development,and it has become a consensus for enterprises to assume social responsibility.The coupling and coordinated development of social responsibility degree ability and economic development ability is conducive to the realization of the dual-carbon goal of the coal industry.Based on the coupled coordination theory,a comprehensive evaluation system for the social responsibility performance and financial performance of the coal industry was established by taking 23 listed companies in the coal mining and washing industries from 2013 to 2022 as samples.The coupled coordination relationship between the two was studied by determining the weights by entropy method,and the change trend was analyzed by kernel density.The results show that:from the perspective of comprehensive evaluation system,the performance of coal industry is generally on the rise,but the social responsibility performance score is generally lower than the financial performance score,and the growth rate of social responsibility performance score has a negative effect on the growth rate of financial performance score.From the coupling degree,the static coupling degree between CSR performance and financial performance is high,but the dynamic coupling coordination degree is not high.From the perspective of the changing trend of dynamic coupling degree,the gap within the coal industry has gradually increased in recent years,and there is no obvious polarization trend.The correlation between social responsibility performance and financial performance is strong,and the degree of dependence is deepening.According to the research results,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
