Abstract:To address the issues of high maintenance costs, extended construction periods, and significant safety risks associated with reused roadways under the"U+U"ventilation system in high-gas coal mine longwall faces,we took the mining of the No.3 coal seam at Wangpo Coal Mine as the engineering context.By investigating and summarizing the full-cycle mine pressure behavior patterns of typical reused roadways, the deformation and failure mechanisms of surrounding rock were analyzed alongside control principles. As a solution,a novel layout scheme for dedicated gas contol roadways was proposed.Through theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and in-situ coal pillar stress monitoring, the rationality of a 15 m coal pillar was demonstrated.Industrial trials conducted at Panel No.3307 implemented the three-in-one surrounding rock control technology of"active support-roof cutting and pressure relief-dynamic adjustment"with parameter design. Results indicate that excavating dedicated gas control roadways effectively avoids the adverse impacts of reused roadway maintenance, demonstrating significant advantages in construction duration, safety assurance, and economic efficiency.
