Research on precise storage model of silos

Abstract：To address the lack of precise calculation methods and significant estimation errors for coal storage volumes in cylindrical silos at coal preparation plants,the coal accumulation morphology inside silos was analyzed.Building upon foundational research on storage volume models for small-diameter silos with single discharge outlets,a cutting-plane method with parameter transformation was employed to derive an accurate computational model for silo volumes under single-point feeding conditions with multiple discharge configurations.And the model was validated using BIM technology.The proposed solution demonstrates simplicity,readability,speed,accuracy,and strong adaptability,achieving estimation accuracy improvement and design efficiency increase.This research facilitates a paradigm shift in silo design from"empirical estimates"to"precision engineering",significantly advancing industry design standards.
