Design and production management of medium system in coal preparation plant

Abstract：Heavy medium separation is the main coal separation method in China,and the medium system is the core link.This composition of the heavy medium suspension,and the selection and preparation of the heavy medium,the storage and addition methods and the recycling system in coal preparation plant are introduced in detail,the problems and solutions of the heavy medium system in the actual production are summarized.Based on production practice,the problems that are prone to occur in the heavy medium system are analyzed,including:instability of the heavy medium suspension,selection of pre-separation desliming process,poor separation effect of the heavy medium cyclone,and the impact of the particle size composition of the medium and coal slime on the separation effect,and the corresponding solutions are given.Finally,the measures for reducing medium consumption in coal preparation plants are provided.
