Design on coal tunnel for dome silos of raw coal and product coal silo in Menkeqing Coal Preparation Plant

Abstract：In this paper, the author introduces a design example of coal tunnel of reinforced concrete shell structure of dome silos in Menkeqing Coal Preparation Plant. This design makes the tunnel roof and floor stress more reasonable, give full play to the concrete compressive strength of high stress characteristics by changing the traditional coal tunnel section. Through the change of the filling material between the tunnel, the tunnel and the silo wall, a small amount of cement is used in combination with fine sand on site to reduce the cost of filling material, reduce the thickness of side wall, and reduce the reinforcement. This design technology results in material savings and significant economic benefits.
