Surrounding rock control technology and construction application of large section open-off cut in working face with large mining height

Abstract：In order to solve the problems of deep roof cutting, large settlement, and severe two-sides deformation in the construction of large section and large section open-off in deep mine, based on the engineering background of VI16-17-2430 open-off of Pingmei No.11 Mine, the method combined with theoretical analysis and field observation is applied to study the pressure-relief reducing span, roof control and stress loss compensation support in large section open-off cut. The construction technology is determined comprising secondary roadway forming, secondary undercutting and secondary supplementary support, and the construction effect is verified. The result shows that, the surface displacement of small section is minor, while in secondary side slope extension, it increases obviously, the two-sides convergence is 322mm and roof settlement is 174mm, which becomes stable in 45 days; with the technology, the surrounding rock deformation is effectively controlled.
