Analysis on top coal roof caving possibility and rib spalling in fully mechanized caving face with great mining height
PANG Yi-hui
Abstract:For the problem of rib spalling in fully mechanized caving face with great mining height in Tashan Coal Mine, the reasons for more serious rib spalling in fully mechanized caving face compared with fully mechanized mining face are studied by theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. The influence of hydraulic pressure support structure parameters on rib spalling is analyzed. The results show that the rib spalling in top coal caving with great mining height is more serious than large mining height due to the overlying influence of abutment pressure and plastic yield areas. Increasing setting load can restrain the rib spalling, which can improve the top-coal cavability at the same time. The overall top beam structure is more conducive than hinged joint top beam. Increasing the top beam length can alleviate the contradiction between rib spalling and collapse of top-coal. The effect of rib spalling prevention of the fission system of extensible canopy and face guard is the best, which is a new face guard structure in top-coal caving with great mining height.
