Abstract:The coal pillar area is a high stress concentration area, which is of high risk for rock burst.Based on the example of 92206 working face in Sanhejian Coal Mine, the stress distribution under overlying coal pillar was theoretically and numerically studied, and the comprehensive index method was applied to analyze the regional rock burst risk, and the monitoring and prevention technique system of rock burst was developed. The practice result showed that, due to the coal seam face oblique affected by the coal pillar area, the rock burst risk was high, after the implementation of coal pressure relief and roof pre-splitting control technique, the energy release seismic turned into low level and high frequent, which avoided rock burst occurrence.
