Research and application of large diameter drilling for pressure releasing and permeability enhancing in Zhaoguan Coal Mine

Abstract：Aiming at the gas drainage difficulty in low permeability seam,according to the complicated geological conditions and ventilation status in Zhaoguan Coal Mine,considering the effect of gas drainage and the technology requirements,and on the basis of the feasibility analysis of gas drainage,using the technology of large diameter concrete pile with pressure relief and permeability enhancement of the coal seam,the equipment such as drilling centering guide and moisture separator were designed and applied in engineering practice.The application results showed that large diameter concrete pile had a good effect on pressure relief and permeability enhancement in the process of gas drainage,high concentration and large flow rate of gas drainage was realized,comparing to the normal-diameter drilling the gas concentration was enhanced by 50％,the flow rate was enhanced by 15％ in average,and the total amount of gas drainage was enhanced by 34％,achieving favorable economic and security benefits.
