Downward tunneling technology for large dip angle and large section open-off cutting in island mining

Abstract：Combining with the tunneling condition of the large section open-off cutting in 203 fully mechanized top-coal caving face of Wangjiashan Coal Mine,the problems of upward tunneling is analyzed,a combined support scheme was designed using bolt-mesh-cable,shotcreting and wood prop,and the key construction technology of downward tunneling for large dip angle and large section open-off cutting in island mining face,from coal production during tunneling,safety protection,tunneling technology,dynamic disaster prevention and other aspects.According to engineering practice,the downward tunneling for large dip angle and large section open-off cutting can reduce the labor intensity of workers,save support materials,improve construction efficiency,and shorten the construction period of open-off cutting.
