Research on support technology of large cross section cutting roadway in close distance coal seams

Abstract：Aiming at the support difficulty of lower coal seam in close coal seam group mining,caused by irregular room mining in the upper seam (No.9) in Jinda Coal Mine,numerical simulation was carried out to analyze the coal pillar influence on lower coal seam roadway in long wall mining and room mining.The "secondary excavation,strong-fast support" roadway excavation and support technology was proposed.According to the underground test result,the roof settlement was 70mm after first roadway excavation,which increases in the second roadway excavation,and stabilized at 95mm;the working face side wall deformation stabilized at 40mm,which is relatively small;the goaf side wall deformation was about 33mm;the results showed the support scheme was effective.
