Rainwater collection and utilization in desert area

Abstract：Taking Yuandatan Coal Mine as an example,combining with the characteristics of desert area,such as arid climate,concentrated rainfall and difficult rainwater storage,from the perspective of "sponge city",through changing the vertical elevation of the site,permeable pavement,rainwater harvesting pond and other engineering measures,the site rainwater collection,storage and utilization were realized,which can ensure the water supply for the site in drought period,and avoid waterlogging during storm period.And the idea and method for desert sponge-type mine design were proposed.
