Influence of coal mining under railway tunnel on tunnel stability and the countermeasures

Abstract：Pu-Mei railway Jianning-Guanzhai Mountain section is built over Gechuan coalfield of Beituan Coal Mine,the coal resources of which was under the railway tunnel.The feasibility of coal mining in overlying area was analyzed,the effect of coal mining in overlying area on railway tunnel was predicted using probability integral method,the result showed that,the mining of above-200m resources in Gechuan coalfield leads to a subsidence of 5mm for Niudongshan tunnel,full exploitation of Gechuan coalfield leads to a subsidence 216mm for 720m in the tunnel,which is beyond the reserved tunnel subsidence value.In order to ensure the safety of railway,only the coal resources above-50m resources can be mined.
