Abstract:The formation of overburden in the horizontal section of fully mechanized top-coal caving is different from that of the near-horizontal coal seam. Based on the improved similar simulation test platform and FLAC3D numerical simulation software, we analyze the large-scale high-level mining(mining-caving ratio is 1:8)migration law and failure mode of rock formation. Research shows that during horizontal sublevel caving mining in steep inclined thick coal seam, the roof shows a "slumping-toppling" failure, which presents a step-shaped failure cross section, and slip phenomenon might occur at the floor. With the gradual downward extension of the mining section, the downward displacement increases after failure of the overlying rock, and the impact is obvious on the residual gangue in the top coal and the goaf area, which becomes the focus for surrounding rock control of the stope.
