Surrounding rock failure characteristics and asymmetric support controltechnology of gob side entry driving with narrow coal pillar

Abstract:Aiming at the strong mine pressure behavior during the air return roadway tunneling of 605 working face in Sunjiagou Coal Mine, including roof caving, rib collapse, support damage, field investigation, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and underground test were carried out to study the deformation failure and the relative control countermeasures. The results show that, the basic roof fracture was 6.5m inside the coal pillar, rotary motion of basic key block B was the primary cause for the roadway roof asymmetric subsidence, horizontal shear deformation failure and coal pillar instability. An asymmetric supporting scheme was proposed using multi-cable,box iron and reinforced composite circle beam. And the engineering practice shows that this technology can effectively reduce the asymmetry of roof stress and displacement distribution, and control the asymmetric deformation of surrounding rock.
