Design of belt conveyor monitoring system based on RS485 and CAN bus

Abstract：Aiming at the poor reliability,difficult common fault location of current belt conveyor monitoring system in coal mine,a belt conveyor monitoring system with fault location function was designed based on RS485 and CAN bus.According to the site operation situation,the monitoring quantities and control quantities were determined,the overall design scheme was completed,the emergency stop module,amplify telephone,lower computer and the terminal module was designed,the fault comprehensive judgment procedure was compiled,and a common fault location method based on RS485 and CAN bus was presented.The test results show that the system realizes complete monitoring and control,accurate location and reliable communication,which meets the needs of coal mine production.
