Discussion on key points of special culvert design in mining area

Abstract：First,the paper analyzed the importance of culvert as the main flood control measure in coal mine and coal preparation plant site selection;then introduced the main forms of special culvert in mining area of our country,combining with the wide-existed gully and narrow valley terrain in hilly area coal mines;according to the design examples;focused on the characteristics of high fill,large inclination,bending curve and other special culverts,from the perspective of construction and use,and analyzed the design methods for various forms of culvert;finally proposed the considerations for special culvert design.
