Gas drainage problems in Lutaishan Coal Mine and the countermeasures

Abstract：Lutaishan coal mine,a typical gas mine is taken as the engineering background,field measurement,laboratory test and theoretical analysis are taken as main research methods,both emission characteristics of coal seam and problems of gas drainage are systematic analyzed and researched.The results show: emission characteristics of coal seam in Lutaishan coal mine is good,the rich microstructure in coal seam is beneficial to the development of coal seam permeability,and partings contained in coal seam are not conducive to the development of coal seam permeability.Gas enriched in large scale microstructure in coal seam and in closed structure formed by partings and coal seam roof are the potential sources leading to apparent dynamic phenomena.Gas drainage efficiency increases when borehole diameter increases and the borehole spacing reduces,but the efficiency improvement is possibly unobvious with the increase of borehole length.
