Application of double-power cuttings removal in pressure-relief borehole construction

Abstract：Based on the principle and construction difficulties of larger diameter pressure-relief borehole against rock burst,the paper proposed that,the critical factor was to remove coal cuttings fleetly and efficiently.According to the successful experience from the soft coal drilling and the contract test between the major spiral drilling and wide blade spiral drilling with water at Changcun Coal mine,Henan province and Zhengtong Coal Mine,Shaanxi province,the efficiency of drilling with water was increased by 50% using the proposed method,and the depth doubled compared with the major spiral drilling,the wide blade spiral drilling with water was more suitable for hole drilling with diameter larger than 150mm in rock burst seam.
