Design of DC microgrid supply system for coal bed methane extraction

Abstract：As problems such as large area of CBM extraction, wide distribution, decentralized and remote location of most wells commonly exist in the coal bed methane ( CBM) production of our country, which result in difficult construction and high cost of traditional AC distribution network. In view of this, this paper proposed a DC microgrid supply system for CBM extraction, which applied photovoltaic panels and batteries to supply the beam pump for CBM wells. Validity and feasibility of the system was verified by simulation model based on MATLAB/SIMULINK.
