Research on slope parameters optimization during expansion and renovation for waste dump in Antaibao Open-pit Coal Mine

Abstract：Taking a waste dump of Antaibao Open-Pit Coal Mine as a case, the feasibility was analyzed for capacity increase and heightening of the dump under anticline structure, using basal bearing capacity analysis and limit equilibrium analysis. Through the optimization analysis, the generally flat width narrowed to 65m, the overall slope angle increased to 17°and the residual displacement space increased to 334. 8 million m3. The optimization could effectively alleviate the problems of waste dump deficiency and insufficient dumping space, ensure the normal proceeding of advance stripping.
