Environmental geology problems and the treatment technology for coal mines of Hebei Province

Abstract：Hebei province is rich in coal resources where coal mining has a long history, long-time and large-scale mining brings a series of mine environmental geology problems, affecting the ecological environment quality and people′s living standards, restricting the development of national economy. In order to improve the effect of coal mining on the environment, the author investigated 12 coal enterprises of Hebei province, systematically summarized the environmental geological problems of coal mines in Hebei province, which were classified into six categories: ground subsidence, solid wastes, aquifer ( aquifuge) structural damage, slope stabilization of the open pit, the secondary geological disaster and liquid wastes pollution, and proposed technologies to solve each kind of problem, providing scientific decision-making basis for the management of environmental geological problems of the similar mines.
