Hydrogeology exploration method for water hazard control in lower group coal mining of karst area in Northern China type coal field

Abstract：To meet the requirement of safe production, water hazard control and treatment in Northern China type coal field, based on the example of comprehensive hydrogeological exploration for West-I district No. 11 coal seam of Qiuji Coal Mine in North Yellow River mining area, the hydrogeological exploration method was analyzed combining with the hydrogeological conditions and mining situation, with full utilization of the existing underground mine production and drainage system, which emphasized the geophysical prospecting, combination of surface and underground drilling exploration, underground drainage test, synchronization observation of surface and underground, supplemented by water chemistry and environmental isotope tracer test and other methods, so as to obtain the clear hydrogeological conditions, and provide the basis for mine water hazard control measures in the compensated mining of lower coal group and the grouting reinforcement of aquifer.
