Feasibility study on pipeline coal transporting in open-pit coal mine

Abstract：The paper proposed the concept of coal pipeline in open pit mine, in view of drawbacks of traditional coal transporting method in open pit coal mine and the development of pipeline coal transporting technology in the domestic. Feasibility of surface coal mine pit pipeline transporting was analyzed from internal drainage effects, effects of surface mine blasting to high wall roadway, water problems and economic issues, coming to the conclusion pipeline coal transporting is technically feasible, but its economy benefits is not obvious; if the coal product is transported over long distances or downstream users are mainly coal chemical projects, the coal pipeline transporting in open-pit coal mine has obvious advantages.
