Major problems and solutions for directional drilling by VLD-1000

Abstract：Aiming at the difficulty in high-efficiency operation of directional rig caused by immature horizontal directional drilling technology in underground coal mine, the application problems of VLD-1000 directional rig are analyzed. Currently, it is understood that, improvement of branching success rate and DDMS survey accuracy are the key to enhancing the application efficiency. The branching success rate can be improved by properly increasing and decreasing drilling pitch. According to the study on guide system measurement formulas, shortening the measuring distance and promoting the formulas of survey data are favorable methods to enhance the guide system measurement accuracy.
