Research on reasonable size for narrow coal pillar of fully mechanized working face in three-soft thick seam

Abstract：Based on the background of No. 11 mining area in Zhaojiazhai Mine, the reasonable widthis studied with theoretical calculation for transportation roadway coal pillar in 11208 working face. The influence rule of coal mechanical parameter around the entry, the entry deformation and the plastic range are studied with different size of coal piller before and after entry excavation using numerical simulation. According to site conditions, 5m width of coal pillar is the reasonable width, and the entry stability is favorable.
