Optimization of hydraulic fracturing parameters for CBM wells in north Shizhuang
XIA Ri-gui
Abstract:Taking coalbed methane wells in north Shizhuang as the research object, this paper summarized the application of hydraulic fracturing technique using conventional activated water. Based on fracking parameters of 48 wells, the relationship between production wells and operation curve type was discovered, and the influence of fracture initiation and propagation resulting from prepad fluid, fluid discharge, proppant concentration, intensity of proppant input and slug number, was analyzed. The results show that the operation curve type does not affect the production directly, but descent type and stability type are suggested for construction safety. The appropriate ranges are as follows: prepad fluid ratio 30%~40%, fluid discharge 6~8m3/min, proppant concentration 13%~17%, intensity of proppant input 8~12m3/m and slug number less than 2. When the depth of middle part pf perforation section is in the vertical depth of 800~900m, the instability of bore well is evident. After applying the optimized parameters, the success rate of fracking was significantly improved.
