Deformation characteristics and control technology of extremely soft roadway surrounding rock under dynamic pressure

Abstract：Based on the geomechanics field tests, aiming at the hard roof and extremely soft coal wall and floor, the paper analyzes the deformation characteristics of roadway surrounding rock, and points out that low strength, high stress, initial low support strength and rigidity are the main factors for roadway failure. A roadway comprehensive control technology is proposed using pre-stress anchoring and grouting reinforcement technique. According to the field tests, the max two side convergence is 35mm and the roof-to-floor convergence is 19mm, the surrounding rock stability is under control, nearly avoiding roadway maintenance.
