Oblique mining technology with linear intensive support in steep thin coal seam with soft roof

Abstract：To solve the problems in current mining methods of steep thin coal seam with soft roof, the oblique angle and impact of goaf gangue on intensive support are calculated and analyzed based on the related theories. Combining with the advantages of downward oblique sublevel longwall concentration mining along the strike and longwall coal mining along the strike, the oblique linear concentration mining is proposed, using key mining technologies including roof supporting with hydraulic prop and metal hinged grider, gangue blocking in working face and anti-flowing and anti-dropping of gangue, after the practice in four working faces in steep thin seam with soft roof, the difficulty is conquered, ensuring the safe production.
