Simulation optimization of open-pit mining with different cut widths based on SIMIO

Abstract：According to the mining status of Donglutian open-pit coal mine, the semi-continuous system of single bucket excavator and self-moving crusher is introduced, from process flow and related parameters. For the shortest cycle time and highest yield, the optimization models of different cut widths is built with SIMIO, then optimized according the instance data of Donglutian open-pit coal mine. The optimum cut width is obtained, and applied in production practice. The loss time of mechanical coordination is reduced, process flow is optimized and the operating efficiency is improved.
