Development of A New Type of Valve Core Locking Bidirectional Rotating Drill Rod

Abstract：A new type of valve core locking bidirectional rotating drill rod was proposed to address the frequent occurrence of stuck and buried drilling accidents in rock burst and soft coal seam drilling construction.Traditional automatic drilling machines cannot reverse the threaded connection of drill rods,and the existing bidirectional rotating drill rods are difficult to automate loading and unloading,which seriously hinders the progress of the project.The valve core locking top clamping mechanism of the bidirectional rotating drill rod can achieve fast bidirectional rotation switching of the drill rod through design optimization,effectively solving the problems of drill pipe holding and sticking.The test and industrial test results showed that the new type of valve core locking bidirectional rotary drill pipe had high reliability and safety in complex geological drilling operations,significantly reducing drill pipe wear and effectively ensuring continuous and efficient drilling operations.It opens up a new path for optimizing drilling processes and improving engineering quality,and has pioneering significance.
