Abstract:The friction force between the steel wire rope and the friction pad is an important factor affecting the lifting capacity, work efficiency, and safety reliability of the friction hoist.Friction coefficient testing experiments were conducted on friction-enhancing grease under different working conditions based on the arc-plane method. The results showed that the friction coefficient was inversely proportional to the specific pressure between the steel wire rope and the friction pad.The friction coefficient is inversely proportional to the relative slip between the steel wire rope and the friction pad.And when applying friction-enhancing grease A,B,and C,the slip speeds when the friction coefficient is below 0.25 are 4.0 mm/s,2.5 mm/s,and 1.5 mm/s,respectively.The friction coefficient is less sensitive to low temperatures and more sensitive to high temperatures.Low temperature makes the semi-solid characteristics of fat increasing more pronounced, enhancing the friction-enhancing effect.High temperature causes the increase in friction fat to transition from a lipid state to an oil state, and when sprayed with water,it becomes a mixture of oil and water, weakening the friction effect and reducing the friction coefficient.Applying coal powder on the surface of steel wire ropes and friction pads has a certain strengthening effect on their friction coefficient.
