Current Status and Development Trends of Scraper Conveyor Drive System Technology

Abstract：As the main transportation equipment in coal mine,the scraper conveyor faces problems such as longer transportation distance,increased load capacity,and frequent starting,which means that the requirements for its driving system's starting technology,power balance,overload protection,etc.are more stringent.The development process of the scraper conveyor drive system was briefly explained,with a focus on the working principles of the currently used CST controllable drive device,hydraulic coupling,variable frequency drive,and permanent magnet drive methods.The advantages and disadvantages of different drive methods during use were compared,and the future development trend of the scraper conveyor drive system was predicted based on the current development situation.
