A Brief Discussion on the Reform Practice of the Cutting Head of the Six Arm Heavy Hauling Dredger

Abstract：The traditional cutting suction dredger uses D40(or SC40)teeth to complete the excavation of sediment,which is difficult to meet the requirements when excavating rocks at the bottom of the ocean.The use of pickaxe shaped cutting teeth used in mining equipment to replace D40 cutting teeth is a cross industry attempt.Based on the parameters of the dredger,the original cutting head was modified by adding a cutting arm and disc,replacing the original 54 D40 cutting teeth with 135 pickaxe shaped cutting teeth.The cutting force,cutting strength,and feed amount were calculated,which theoretically meets the requirements for use.Through on-site testing and tracking,relevant improvement information has been obtained.
