Research on Fault Location Algorithm in High Voltage Transmission Line
Abstract：When the fault takes place in the high-voltage transmission line, the transient traveling wave (TTW) will occur. The fault location by TTW is the common method up-to-date, but the location accuracy probably affected by the speed of TTW. Based on the comparison and analysis of existing wave velocity algorithm, proposes a new algorithm, which could avoid the influence of uncertain velocity of traveling wave on fault location in highvoltage transmission lines. And it is theoretically proved that this algorithm is not affected by the sag of lines.
