Research on Motor Protector Based on Modbus Protocol
Abstract：First analyzes the disadvantages of traditional motor protector, the new comprehensive protection device based on Modbus protocol is proposed. This device includes the function of fault protection, fault alarming and record, LCD display and communication. And it uses simple protocol, easily operation and low cost. The general industrial standard-Modbus technology is being widely used by coal mine equipment. The motor protector is linked to Modbus bus, which communicates between equipment and upper monitor system. This realizes on-line monitoring and long-distance control during the whole process of motor operation. It can ensure motor' s normal operation.
