The Application of High Power Level 3 Permissible Water Gel Explosive to Tunneling Blasting in Xinzhuang Coal Mine

Abstract：In order to solve the problems of low explosion energy and short footage of level 3 permissible explosive in tunneling blasting, a new high power level 3 permissible water gel explosive was applied to the tunneling blasting in Xinzhuang coal mine. The high power level 3 permissible water gel explosive is a new type permissible explosive. The safety level of the explosive against to the mixture of combustible gas is level 3, but the strength isapproximate to the level 2 permissible water gel explosive. It is showed that the basting footage of new high power level 3 permissible water gel explosive is higher than the normal level 3 permissible water gel explosive. Under the same conditions, the each cycle footage of high power level 3 permissible water gel explosive increased 0.16-0.29m and the advancement efficiency improved 12-20%. It is proved that high power level 3 permissible water gel explosive were better than ordinary level 3 permissible water gel explosive in the ability of rock damaging, which has significant technical and economic benefits.
