Experimental Research on Low Detonation Velocity Explosives for Explosive Welding

Abstract：In order to meet the requirement of metal explosive welding on the detonation velocity, a low detonation velocity explosive for explosion welding was made which used the expanded ammonium nitrate as main ingredient and the diluent M as additive. The experiment results show that the explosive has stable detonation and moderate energy, and when the content of diluent M is 25%the detonation velocity is 2045 m/s which is suitable for explosive welding.
