Study on the Application of Rice Bran Wax in Emulsion Explosive

Abstract：Rice bran wax is an extensive source of plant wax, which belongs to the renewable resources and is cheap. In this paper, the rice bran wax is applied to emulsion explosive and the influence of rice bran wax on the physico-chemical properties of composite oil phase is studied. Through high-low temperature cycle method and natural storage method, the stability of emulsion explosive using composite oil containing rice bran wax is investigated. The results show that the properties and storage stability of emulsion explosive which uses 10%~16%rice bran wax instead of composite oil satisfy the requirement and it can reduce the production cost of explosive.
